Owasso School of Integrated Learning
OSIL is an arts-integrated private school. We offer core curriculum studies in language arts, math, science, and social studies. Available electives include visual arts, performing arts, yoga, dance, music, Spanish and sign language.
Student's participate in a creative process actively connecting an art form with another subject area to meet objectives in both art education and that subject. The teaching directive is a blending of the content and skills of an art form with those of a co-curricular subject.
Students will create and construct through analysis, making connections, finding patterns, collaborating, and solving problems where it seems there is no easy answer. Arts-integrated learning allows for an effective way to engage a wide-array of students with varying interests, aptitudes, and experiences to cultivate an environment of active learners who take ownership for their own learning. As a whole, arts-integrated learning provides students with concrete experiences to fully grasp and connect their understanding of the curriculum.
